Job Description

LST is seeking junior, mid, and senior level Program Analysts to support LST's growth and expansion efforts within the Federal Aviation Administration and other government agencies. The Program Analyst evaluates and improves the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of organizations and programs. The work requires a practical knowledge of the purposes, methods, and techniques of management analysis and/or program analysis and the structures, functions, processes, objectives, products, services, resource requirements, and similar features of Government programs and organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and manages or supports aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets
  • Classifies and summarizes data for the preparation and submission of status reports on a recurring basis.
  • Performs life cycle cost analyses, cost benefit or economic evaluations of current or projected programs.
  • Supports the development, execution, and reporting of logistics.
  • Provides plans for programs, including sparing and stocking strategies, inventory control and tracking, logistics CDRLs and deliverable or asset tracking.
  • Assesses project issues and develops or tracks resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Evaluates and advises on the organization, methods, and procedures for providing administrative support systems such as records, communications, directives, forms, files, and documentation.
  • Develops new or modified administrative program policies, regulations, goals, or objectives.
  • Identifies data required for use in the management and direction of programs.
  • Develops management and/or program evaluation plans, procedures and methodology.
  • Provides planning, scheduling, networking, and coordination assistance to program management personnel.

Requirements:

  • Government Program Analyst Support experience required. FAA Program Analyst Experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices (ITIL, PMI, and CMMI)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ablility to work well on a team
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Duties require frequent application of techniques such as statistical charting, organizational structure, contract, budget, fiscal control, and office management.
  • Specific expertise may be required in:
    • Configuration management
    • Earned Value Management
    • Financial management
    • Cost estimation
    • Risk management
  • Levels of Experience (defined):
    • Senior:     10+ years' experience
    • Mid-level:  6-10 years' experience
    • Junior:      1- 6 years' experience

Education 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field
  • Advanced degree preferred (but not required)
